I currently work in wood, cardboard, textiles and recycled materials: for their lightness, colour, pliability, ready availability and low/no cost. All are easy to use to build up form, manipulate into a variety of shapes and create internal spaces.
My ideas and themes relate to memory, childhood, “home” and domestic spaces, as well as loss, containment and homelessness.
I am interested in where art and architecture meet and overlap, as well as the viewers’ emotional response to an artwork.
